The 2011 Clydesdale and Vintage Day was held on Sunday 19 June. Visitors watched Clydesdale horses demonstrate how ploughing was done in the days before tractors and mechanisation. Vintage tractors and equipment from the Avondale Machinery Museum were in action pulling ploughs and tilling hte paddock.
The Great Southern Working Sheepdog Society finals were also held at Avondale on Sunday 19 June offering a wonderful display of the best sheepdogs in action.
